about lowquo
lowquo is a one-person project making instruments that are easy to learn, reasonably priced and light enough for the computers people already own.
the idea
I like software that feels direct: load a sound, press a key and hear something happen. Fewer layers, fewer accounts and less time spent setting things up.
That does not mean stripping out the useful parts. It means being careful about which parts earn a place.
right now
lq-12 is an eight-track, 12-bit sampler and sequencer built around the computer keyboard.
lq-fm is a six-operator FM synthesizer with a signal path you can follow while you edit.
